Izuru Takei

Project researcher at Center for Global Commons (CGC), Institute for Future Initiatives in the University of Tokyo.
Prior to joining CGC (2023), he received his PhD (engineering) from Department of Chemistry & Biotechnology, Graduate School of Engineering, the University of Tokyo in 2002. After working at the Institute of Industrial Science (IIS), the University of Tokyo, and the Faculty of Engineering Science, Tokyo University of Science, he joined the Mitsubishi Chemical Life Science Institute in 2005 and Mitsubishi Chemical Corporation in 2007. At the company’s Science and Technology Research Center, he worked in research and development in the fields of materials science, thin-film device engineering, and organic electronics. Since then, he has worked at the Science & Innovation Center of Mitsubishi Chemical Corporation from 2019, Mitsubishi Chemical Group Corporation (reorganized) from 2021.
