On November 3, Prof. Kazuhito Hashimoto is awarded the Medal with Purple Ribbon for the 2019 (Reiwa 1) Autumn Conferment.

The Medal of Honor with purple ribbon is awarded to individuals for their significant discoveries and inventions in science and technology and outstanding cultural, artistic, and sporting achievements.
