A research paper from Assoc. Prof. Kikuchi’s group published at “Energy”

A system to regulate wind power, which is a variable renewable energy source, has been proposed using thermal storage technology. In this paper, we have analyzed whether the introduction of thermal storage systems in paper mills could improve the effective use of wind power through life cycle assessment and process system simulation. It was found that the installation of thermal storage systems could potentially use wind power more effectively than conventional wind power generation.
