Solar photovoltaic (PV) panels and lithium-ion batteries (LiB) are recognized as necessary technologies for the expansion of renewable energy, and their implementation is expected to continue to increase in the future.
On the other hand, the recycling technology system has not been established and the recycling of the valuable metal resources contained in them has not progressed. In the paper (1), we firstly reviewed the recycling technologies for PV and LiB and analyzed the requirements for the evaluation of the technology system from the life cycle perspective. In the paper (2), the potential of the novel technology using the electric pulse dismantling method is experimentally investigated by the co-researchers and interpreted based on the life cycle thinking.
