The workshop was held as a wrap-up of the research project “Public attitudes towards energy policy and sustainable development in ASEAN” funded by ERIA.This research project aims to investigate and analyze consumers’ willingness to pay (WTP) for goods and services related to energy and sustainable development goals (SDGs) in ASEAN countries. In the first fiscal year 2019, the WTP of residents for renewable energy in five cities of four countries (Thailand, Vietnam, Laos and Myanmar) was surveyed. In this workshop, researchers from universities in each city where the joint survey was conducted were invited to discuss the results of the survey as well as domestic researchers with expertise of WTP. The results of the survey will be published as an ERIA project report.
