Mangrove restoration has ecological and economic benefits
Global meta-analysis supports the U.N. goal of restoring habitats

A new meta-analysis co-authored by Dr. Alexandros Gasparatos in Nature Communications estimated that mangrove restoration has clear ecological and economic benefits. This shows the promise of mangrove restoration to contribute significantly to the United Nations Decade on Ecosystem Restoration (2021-2030) and the currently deliberated Post-2020 Framework of the U.N. Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD).
