Biography

Hareesh is a Project Assistant Professor at the Institute for Future Initiatives, University of Tokyo. His research integrates machine learning for technology management and business informatics. He specializes in intellectual property analysis with a focus on patent analysis and is interested in exploring technologies related datasets to map the evolution of emerging trends and better understand sociotechnical impact. His recent work explores the intersection of digital transformation and business process management in the Global South. He has been awarded the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS) Invitational Fellowship fellowships in the year 2025 including and the National Natural Science Foundation of China’s Foreign Young Scientist Fund in the year 2024. He holds a Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering and Engineering Management from the National Tsing Hua University and a Postdoctoral diploma from the Shanghai Jiao Tong University.
