Biography

JU Yiyi currently works as a research scholar in the Energy, Climate, and Environment (ECE) Program at the International Institute for Applied Systems Analysis (IIASA). Her research interests include climate policy instruments, financial risks of mitigation, and industrial decarbonization. She was an assistant professor at Waseda Institute for Advanced Study (WIAS) in Waseda University in Japan during 2021-2023, focusing on the modeling of industry technologies in the energy-economic and integrated assessment models. She worked as a project researcher in the Global Energy Policy and East Asia Research Unit at the Institute for Future Initiatives in the University of Tokyo during 2019-2021. She obtained her Ph.D. of International Development (environmental economics field) from Nagoya University in 2019.
