Biography

Hiroko Yamano is an assistant professor at the Institute for Future Initiatives at The University of Tokyo. She earned her Ph.D. in Engineering from the Department of Technology Management for Innovation and holds an M.S. in Life Sciences from the Department of Multidisciplinary Sciences, Graduate School of Arts and Sciences, at The University of Tokyo. She serves on the editorial board of the Japanese Society for Artificial Intelligence (JSAI) and co-organizes the Network Ecology Research Group in Japan. Her main research areas include network science, computational social science, complex systems science, and technology and innovation management. Her research interests focus on the structure and dynamics of inter-firm networks, influence propagation, and the structure and role of higher-order interactions in biological networks.
