Overview
This research unit performs technological assessment at the research and development stage and for emerging technology and systems being considered out of an urgent need to resolve an issue in society. It not only utilizes existing assessment methods, such as life-cycle assessment and inter-industry relationship (input-output) analysis but also develops new assessment methods. It performs technology modeling and system simulation to analyze future technologies and systems.
