The Global Governance Research Division addresses complex global risks including climate change, conflict, and environmental degradation, drawing on cross-disciplinary perspectives, such as political science, development studies, and engineering. This division aims to be a research hub for sustainable development and security in the broadest sense, including not only military power but also food-, energy-, and economic security. To this end, it combines expertise in international, regional, and national governance with problem-solving techniques to offer theoretical and empirical policy analyses.
