アレクサンドロス・ガスパラトス

東京大学准教授就任(2013年から2023年)以前、オックスフォード大学(2011年～2013年)、国連大学高等研究所(UNU-IAS)(2008年～2011年)、ダンディー大学(2006年～2008年)において研究に従事。マリー・キュリー研究フェローシップ(オックスフォード大学)、ジェームズ・マーティン研究フェローシップ(オックスフォード大学)、JSPS-UNU研究フェローシップ(UNU-IAS)、キヤノン財団研究フェローシップ(UNU-IAS)、および英国工学・物理科学研究評議会(EPSRC)資金による研究職(ダンディー大学)を歴任。2024年より東京大学未来ビジョン研究センター教授。

Sustainability Science編集者、People and Nature、Environmental Conservation編集委員、Anthropocene Science編集者、Frontiers in Sustainable Food Systems、Frontiers in Environmental Science編集委員。PLOS Sustainability and Transformationセクション編集者も務めた。

生物多様性及び生態系サービスに関する政府間科学政策プラットフォーム(IPBES)のAsia-Pacific Assessment Reportの統括主執筆者を務めるとともに、Nexus Assessment Reportのスコーピングエキスパートおよびレビューエディターを務めた。

2013年以降、20件の国内外の研究プロジェクトに参加し、そのうち15件は研究代表者(PI)または共同研究者(Co-PI)を務めた。これまでに、バングラデシュ、ブルキナファソ、中国、エスワティニ、ガーナ、インドネシア、日本、ケニア、マラウイ、モザンビーク、ミャンマー、セネガルなど、サブサハラ・アフリカおよびアジアの15か国において研究を主導または共同主導してきた。

• 持続可能性アセスメントおよび生態系サービス評価ツールの開発、改良、応用
• 上記ツールを活用し、食糧・エネルギー安全保障、自然を基盤とした解決策（NbS）、グリーン経済、都市の生物多様性および都市代謝の分野において、様々な地理的文脈での応用
