In view of recent international political changes, such as conflicts between the U.S. and China, the Japan-Korea Dialogue was launched as a venue for specialists in the field of diplomacy and security to exchange views from diverse perspectives on political and security issues faced by Japan and Korea. The Dialogue has been held nine times as of fiscal 2020. The University of Tokyo, Seoul National University, Korea National Diplomatic Academy and other universities and research institutes from Japan and Korea participate to engage in open and constructive discussions at each Dialogue.
